Fascinated by the colorful arrangements of flowers and fruits strapped to the bikes of street vendors in Vietnam, photographer Loes Heerink began climbing onto different bridges around Hanoi to capture these pops of color on the streets. Heerink loved that each of the vendors creates a new piece of art everyday, and that the collection of goods they bring into town differs each morning. This act prompted the series “Vendors from Above,” a collection of these street vendor photographs she shot while living in Vietnam.
In order to commemorate these workers, who are often female migrants, Heerink is hoping to expand the project to create a photobook through her new Kickstarter campaign which will bring her back to Vietnam. We continue to be amazing by ceramic artist Jon Almeda's (previously) incredibly tiny vessels thrown by hand on a miniature clay wheel. The variety of cups, vases, bowls, and other objects are so tiny they can perch on a fingertip or rest on a coin. Almeda has also been flexing his model-building skills by constructing 1/12th replicas of a kiln and ceramic wheel for use by an architect. You can see many videos of his works in progress on his wildly popular Instagram account.

Né à Madrid en 1988, José Manuel Egea est un adepte, depuis l’âge de 10 ans, des super héros des Marvel Comics, et tout particulièrement de Jack Russel le loup garou et de Hulk, le géant vert qu’il se plaît à imiter. La transformation de l’homme en bête, d’être humain en créature puissante, terrible et indestructible le fascine. Elle est au centre de tout sa création produite, depuis 2010, au sein du centre de création « debajo del sombrero » (sous le chapeau) qui accueille des personnes présentant des déficiences intellectuelles.

Aurélien Villette est né en 1982 au Chesnay prés de Paris. C'est à la suite d'une volonté de changement radical de mode de vie en 2008 qu'il se recentre sur sa passion de toujours: les voyages, c'est à ce moment là qu'il découvre la photographie. Depuis, il a foulé plus d'une trentaine de pays à la rencontre de sociétés et d'histoires qui à façonné sa vision du monde. Ce qu'Aurélien met en avant dans ses photos, c'est ce regard personnel sur notre civilisation et ses changements au travers des constructions architecturales qui se succèdent au fil des époques. Après avoir obtenu les félicitations du jury lors du concours SFR Jeunes Talents 2012 avec sa série "Structure et Déstructures", il devient alors photographe professionnel et construit ses projets et ses recherches autour de ce qu'il appelle l'Esprit du Lieu.

À l'avant-garde du design international, Mathieu Lehanneur, est l'un des rares designers de sa génération à pouvoir embrasser autant de champs différents, au delà du meuble. Il innove avec des objets et des architectures magiques qui brassent design, science, art et technologie pour le mieux-être de ses utilisateurs. L'air, l'eau, le son et la lumière sont ses matériaux favoris. Son projet de diplôme à l'ENSCI - Les Ateliers intitulé « Objets thérapeutiques », un travail sur l'ergonomie des médicaments, intègre ainsi immédiatement la collection permanente du MoMA. En 2008, il obtient le prix « Best Invention Award » décerné par le magazine Popular Science pour « Andrea » inventé avec David Edwards, un système domestique de filtration de l'air par les plantes qui fait le tour du monde (également dans la collection du MoMa).

Body Of Work
Body of Work' is a reaction to the digitized image culture that surrounds us; a culture that causes us to become passive consumers of images. By exploring the relationship between space and its photographic representation, 'Body of Work' shows how (fashion)photography can be displayed differently. The work shows an image as a physical object that interacts with its surrounding space, rather than being displayed as a digital file on a screen. By encouraging the viewer to move around and see the work from different angles, this project aims to make the viewer conscious with their own physical body and question the way they perceive imagery.

Tokyo Compression. Voici le titre très évocateur de la série photographique réalisée par Michael Wolf lors d’une escale dans la mégalopole japonaise, composée de clichés volés, pris à travers les vitres du métro. Pour se rendre au travail chaque matin, des milliers de Japonais doivent endurer des conditions inhumaines dans les transports, entre l’espace des plus réduits, le manque d’air et la moiteur ambiante. Un projet à découvrir pour relativiser son propre trajet matinal.
